The club has the sixth-highest average all-time attendance in English football, and for the 2016–17 season at 41,507. Since 2003, Chelsea has been owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich. In 2017, they were ranked by Forbes magazine as the seventh most valuable football club in the world, at £1.40 billion ($1.85 billion) and in the 2016-17 season it was the eighth highest-earning football club in the world, earned €428 million.
